Birthday Presents Everywhere

Ok so here's the latest on what I've been working on.

This scarf and mittens set is destined for my best friend Debbie. The scarf was done in double crochet on a size G hook, with Knit Picks Wool of the Andes in Cranberry and Maple Sugar. The mittens were knitted on size 5 and 6 double-pointed needles using this pattern. I added a half double crochet border around the wrist.

This scarf (which isn't done yet because I'm waiting for the extra skein of yarn I need to arrive) is destined for Deb's husband Eric. K1 P1 rib, size 10 needles, with Knit Picks Sierra in Leaf.

This scarf is destined for a friend of mine at work. It's done in double crochet on a size H hook, with Lion Brand Micro Spun in Lilac. It's also still not done, it will just end up a little wider.

I still have to finish the scarf I'm crocheting for the Lush forum Katrina auction win, and Laura's wicked weird scarf. Then on to the Harry Potter Gryffindor scarves. Plus I'm going to try and whip up a scarf in fun fur for another friend's birthday.

I am the Emperor Fabulous, and I Knit.

Well, I thought my knitting posts on my regular blog probably bore the non-knitting/crocheting contingent of my readership (which means just about everyone) so I'm starting this blog just to chronicle my projects.

Here's a picture of the mittens and scarf that I did for my quasi future sister-in-law Kelly:

She thought I bought the mittens. Hee hee.

So, right now I am working on:
  • 7 in x 9 in crocheted afghan squares for Warm Up America to help out Katrina victims
  • crocheted scarf and mittens for my best friend's birthday
  • crocheted scarf for a co-worker's birthday
  • rib knit scarves for the various menfolks I know, for upcoming birthdays and Christmas
  • a wicked weird scarf for my friend Laura's birthday
On deck:
  • Harry Potter Gryffindor scarves for my cutelikebutton friends Jasen and Michael
  • a striped crocheted scarf that I contributed to the Lush forum Katrina aid auction
  • Knit lace scarf/table runner/decoration (Branching Out pattern from Knitty.com ) for my Mom for Christmas
  • Crocheted afghan for my pops for Christmas
  • More scarves, mittens, and possibly hats for more birthday/Christmas prezzies

I'm thinking I should learn to type and do other things with my feet so my hands will be free to knit.
